About Us

Island Equine Vets was established in 2022 as the first and only dedicated equine veterinary practice in the Channel Islands. From our base in St Martin in Jersey, we provide a full complement of equine services with a focus on providing top level veterinary care whilst maintaining the friendly and personal feel of a small independent practice.

Our Services

We provide a full range of veterinary services including routine vaccinations, lameness investigation, medical investigation and treatment, poor performance work ups and pre-purchase examinations. Our practice van is fully equipped including mobile ultrasound and state of the art digital x-ray allowing for on site diagnostics.

We will soon be expanding to provide clinic facilities, increasing the scope of veterinary treatment available on island. Established relationships with visiting specialists and hospitals in the UK provides access for our clients to specialist care without the need to travel.

Our practice provides our own 24/7hr emergency cover, providing peace of mind and a friendly face should you need us out of normal hours.

Ro moved to Jersey in 2015 following a brief stint in Guernsey and quickly fell in love with the sense of community and beautiful coastline, making it her permanent home. 

Ro is an incredibly passionate vet and has worked tirelessly since her arrival on the island to improve the standards of veterinary care offered to local horse owners. Recognising the need for a dedicated equine practice, Ro established Island Equine Vets in 2022 with a commitment to providing a caring, personal service to every equine whilst maintaining extremely high clinical standards. Ro has a special interest in lameness and poor performance work ups.

Ro lives in St Martin with her partner and young son, and is often seen out and about at riding events with her lovely horse Limbo.

Ro is the most compassionate lady who is invested in each animal she cares for. She is always at the end of a phone for advice and support, always going the extra mile.
